One of the things I love about my career is how often it puts me in situations I’ve never encountered before. Last week, that meant photographing an MRI machine – safely from outside the room, of course…I do have a magnet inside of my head with my new hearing implant.

I was glad to help document the completion of SILVA Contracting’s project relocating a full MRI machine from one end of Calvert Hospital to the other. The process even required cutting a hole in the side of the hospital to roll the machine through. Pretty incredible to witness. The first visit I was able to document the MRI machine still being assembled, and then the second time, it fully completed.

Fun Fact: An MRI machine can take up to 3 full days to turn on and off!
