A few years back a friend of mine, Bo Shuff – Executive Director of DC vote, contacted me about needing photography coverage for their “Champions of Awards Gala” downtown. This year, they held the gala at The Hilton at L’Enfant Plaza with an amazing setting, fantastic food, and inspiring speeches.

DC vote is a organization that fights for DC to be recognized as the 51st state and have full representation in congress.

“DC Vote fights for full and equal representation for DC residents through DC Statehood – nothing more than the same rights you enjoy today. And we’re pushing to keep members of Congress from Utah or Kentucky or anywhere else out of our local affairs.“
